1st: Reduce. 2nd: Reuse. 3rd: Recycle. Three great guidelines to reducing our impact on the earth. This blog focuses on the 2nd - reuse. With a little creativity your used and second hand items can become updated and exciting - and you can feel good about not adding to the landfill and saving money.

Christmas Cookies
You might be saying: Whaaaat??? Re-use cookies? That's right - if you haven't cleaned up all your holiday cookies I recommend freezing 'em. (Plus putting them away helps with the whole eat-less-crap resolution. Cookies tend to keep really well in the freezer (for 3-4 months, I would argue.) But, instead of just throwing them in the freezer, bag your cookies in tasty combinations which you can simply pull out and serve to friends after dinner. Yum.

Who makes 'eat-less-crap' resolutions anyway? I say go for it! But whatever you can't fit in your gullet, then yeah, I guess freezing is a pretty good idea. I never seem to have any left for that though. ;)
